We need help so we can campaign for better transport in Epping Forest district

Notice of Special General Meeting Dear supporter, Over the last few years Epping Forest Transport Action Group has spoken up for active travel, becoming a recognised and respected voice for cycling, walking and public transport in our area. At our recent AGM we looked back on a record of success, reflecting on the productive engagements we’ve had with many local councillors and officers. But now we need your help. Two long-standing committee members are leaving the area and will no longer be able to serve. Our constitution requires we have four officers, and we need enough people on the committee in order to campaign effectively. This is not a large commitment – we are getting together for an hour or so about 8 times a year. Sometimes this is in person, sometimes online (and we can be flexible for whatever suits your schedule). Our meetings help us respond to local developments and keep our campaigns going. No qualifications required – just turning up will help! The group cannot continue to exist without at least two more people to come along to our regular meetings. We’ll hold a special meeting online on Thursday 9 May at 19:30 to appoint our new committee. Joining details will follow nearer the time. Please reply to this email if you can help at all.
