Bus News
With the return of schools, buses like the number 20 in Loughton are again very busy at certain times of the day. Whilst Transport for London have designated certain services for students, there are simply not enough of these especially at the end of the school day. Please let us know your experiences.

Rubbish Infrastructure!
If you didn’t see our recent blog post about a particularly bad piece of cycling infrastructure in Loughton then please take a look. The Loughton Residents Association have replied to say they’re on the case, and we look forward to seeing some changes -- the fix here is very easily made.

Perhaps there’s some rubbish infrastructure near you? (Or perhaps not, Epping Forest doesn’t have much cycling infrastructure at all, as we recently pointed out in a letter to the cabinet member for highways at Essex County Council.) Let us know the worst spots where you ride (or would ride) and we’ll keep the blog series running.

Cycling in the forest
Do you cycle in Epping Forest, or wish you could but can’t for some reason? The City of London authority has produced a draft new cycling strategy for the forest, and we’re planning to run a survey to discover how we might best represent people’s views on this issue. Please get in touch if you have ideas about questions we might ask.

Chigwell
Representatives of the Chigwell Residents’ Association and Chigwell Parish Council have contacted EFTAG. We are exploring together the possibilities of a Chigwell network for cyclists and pedestrians, focused on helping children get to school safely. We are going to check the situation on the ground at 10:00 on Monday 26th October: drop us an email if you can come along too! We will meet at the z-bends in the middle of Vicarage Lane.
