Welcome to our second newsletter. We don’t intend to send these out weekly but there’s a lot happening and we’ve time sensitive news to let you know about.

Organising meeting – 14th September

We’ve booked The Space, by Loughton library, for our first organising meeting on 14th September.

7.30pm, though we’re likely to start nearer to 7.45pm.

If you can come please register on our EventBrite age so that we have some idea of how many people are coming.

Education related bus services

A few weeks ago one of our supporters raised the issue of child fares for under 18s who are in full time education. Child fares end at 16 and provision of reduced fares for 16 – 18 year olds is limited.

Baroness Bakewell of Hardington Mandeville raised the issue in the Bus Services Bill debate in the House of Lords on 20th July.

Public Transport and Employment in Epping Forest survey

We’re getting more replies to the survey and have had some decent local coverage in today’s Epping Forest Guardian, with an item on page 4 and the letters page.

Please continue to spread the word!

We’ve got flyers to promote the survey. If you can distribute some in your town, to shops, community centres, pubs etc, please get in touch.

We can try to get them to you, public transport permitting, or you can pick some up at the meeting on the 14th.
